I’m actively working on two knit projects: a cashmere scarf and an alpaca/silk cardigan. First up, the scarf. This was supposed to be a little bit of a thing. She picked out the pattern from a shop model (which was originally done in a chunky alpaca) FREE PATTERN CLICK HERE. BUT she wanted it in cashmere and I said what the heck? She’s buying! I am using Laines du Nord Royal Cashmere in black. I had to revise the pattern, because cashmere is NOT chunky. We definitely underestimated the yardage required. As Mom also requested it a little wider. I had to go from a 13 needle to a 9. Mom bought 3 balls of cashmere. I am on ball 5, and will probably need ball 6. SO, this will has become Mom’s birthday present (November). Seeing as I paid more for it than she did! But it’s oh-so-soft and looks so good!

Next up is the cherry red cardigan – FOR ME. Yeppers, something at last for me. It is in Blue Sky Alpaca & Silk in a modified lattice stitch, also by Blue Sky Alpaca.
