Good Intentions

So anyway, I really do want to post regularly, but it isn’t happening yet. The good news is that I quit the horrible “real” job that I worked for an entire 4 months. I must have been crazy to leave the job before it. So anyway, I’m going back to work in a real law firm, which is what I had been doing for the last 20 years. TWENTY YEARS. Someone please tell me I don’t look old enough to have worked for lawyers for the last TWENTY YEARS.

Picture of me modeling the neck warmer that I knit for my mother (from Knit2Together – great book by the way).

I attended Celebration of Needlework in Nashua, NH in May. I had a lovely 5 days there. Yes, FIVE. DH took care of DS quite competently in my absence and I got to relax and stitch. I also dropped in at a spa and had a massage and pedi. And spent hours at Barnes & Noble, am impossible feat with a 3-year old boy in tow. I didn’t pick up my knitting even once. Most days, it is very difficult to decide whether to knit or stitch. I took only one class, although several appealed to me. My class was the Album below with the always delightful Lauren Sauer.

This album opens up and has 6 stitched panels, each with its own New England mini-sampler. The album also contains 3 pockets to hold memorabilia.

It was a wonderful trip. I got to spend several days with BFF Lisa, even though she had a cold, she showed up anyway and even though she couldn’t taste a thing, was willing to go out to dinner every night. We had a great time. I also go to reconnect with some EGA friends as well.
